The Asclepias Tuberosa – this flower is part of the Milk Weeds family but doesn’t have a characteristically milky sapped stem like other varieties of Milk Weeds. According to Missouri Botanical Garden website (http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/PlantFinder/PlantFinderDetails.aspx?kempercode=b490) it’s common name is “Butterfly Weed” as it attracts butterflies.
