🙂 Freedom’s Feathers (Orange Flame)

This portrait I publish after watching the documentary 13th by Ava Duvernay.  I highly recommend that every American watch the 13th.  Insightful, powerful, undeniable are just a few words to describe what the 13th demonstrates has been the history and the origins of fear of people of color up to today.

We are the products of the history of this nation.  We are the result of the choices  and non choices of our ancestors that precede us.  We are the consequences of the enormous multitude of injustices and sins committed by this nation known to be the “Land of The Free” & “Home of the Brave”.

Ask yourselves what do you define as free? How does America define free?  Dialogue and honesty in facing, acknowledging and addressing the past and what has continued to be enacted upon us as a society as a human community has long been overdue.
